Sorry about all the footprints.  I thought it was you who had asked about high fructose corn syrup.  But I didn't see anything here.  I never did find a devotional like you were looking for, but I do have Abeka's Primary Bible Reader.  Passages straight from the Bible and I come up with questions on my own to ask.  Because the passages are not over long, it is pretty easy for children my age.  It is not deep theological stuff, so far just the simple Bible stories.
