  • How can a loving God send people to hell?

Many people ask “How can a loving God send people to hell?”  Some would say that God is just a mean God and unjust at that also and then some would say Christians are unreasonable and narrow minded in thinking that they are the only ones that are going to make it to heaven.  Some even believe that God is one who is either merciless in sending people to hell or He is one who excuses their sin altogether.   I hope to correct these misconceptions.  God doesn’t send people to hell nor does He excuse people’s sins.  I will be the first to say I’m not without sin.  I do fall in my walk with the Lord.  No one is without sin but Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross but that doesn’t mean we can just accept Jesus and then go out and live our lives like we never knew Him.  One second after we die, it’s too late to turn back.  I would not want my worst enemy to go to hell.

Can we really think we can move right into God’s place?  If we walked up to the nicest house on the block and knocked on the door and when it was answered told the owners …” Hey, I’m moving in with you.”  What do you think their reply would be?  They would say No and shut the door on you.  We have no relationship with those people.   Hmmmm,  this what we are doing to God.  We live our entire lives having nothing to do with God, even denying Jesus is the Son of God and then you knock on God’s door on your death bed and say, “Excuse me, I’m moving in with you.”  What gives you the right to do that?   Why should He let you in?  He was never your father while you were alive on earth.  He told you that His Son was the only way into heaven.   He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.  John 3:36    Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.  Acts 4:12      To you His just your creator not your father.   For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him , and for him.  Colossians 1:16

You say, “But He knows me and He is suppose to be a loving God.”  Ohhhhh, He knows you exist but He doesn’t have the personal relationship with you.  We all know people exist in our lives but do we all have a personal relationship with them.   Jesus said…..And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.  Matt. 7:23  Now I don’t know about you but OMG that would be the most horrible words that He could say to me.  God gives us a choice and its up to us as to what choice we make.

I’m not sure how many are ready for this next part but here goes….it’s going to be strong.   John 8:44 says…..Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.  He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.  When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it.   Either God is your Father or the devil is your father.  Most don’t realize this but we all have a spiritual father, and there are only two choices.  You may disagree with this but it still won’t change the facts.  It’s kind of like when you get pulled over for speeding.  You can disagree with the police officer but he is still going to give you the ticket.  Your disagreement didn’t change the fact you were speeding.

But John 1:12 says…But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.  Also Galatians 3:26 says…For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.  Our faith in who Jesus is makes us His children, which would give us the right to come into God’s home.

I hope this gives you something to think about as time is running short.  There is more to come this week.
